Our Story

About Veronica, The Scone Goddess

After a recent move to Midcoast Maine, I realized that I had an opportunity to be self employed and do what I love most; Bake! I offered fresh baked scones, as well as a few of my original scone mixes, at the farmers market each week. It was a joy to engage with my new community, and my scones found a new following!

With the emergence of a global pandemic, I was forced to pivot to online sales. I refused to sell day old scones. That meant that baking and shipping was out! I turned to my mixes and social media. Gradually, I gained traction selling mixes online with a lot of help from The Scone Goddess fans.  We offer an easy scone mix that has everything you need to make a premium quality, delicious scone in just minutes, with only the addition of cream! This was a big hit as we all learned to navigate a world of masks and isolation. Suddenly, kitchens were humming in a way they had not been in years!

As The Scone Goddess Community grew, so did our line up of flavors! I hired staff and we made so many mixes  to ship across the US. Our best seller, Wild Maine Blueberry Lemon, to Raspberries & Cream, to Pineapple Coconut Cream. We had lots of ideas and lots of time to make it happen!

Thankfully, 2021 allowed us to come out of hibernation. We got to see many smiling eyes as we all ventured out into the world with our masks and hand sanitizer. Our Fresh Baked Scones Trailer was built and established on Route 1 in Northport at the iconic Bayside Store.

It was clear after a whirlwind Summer that we needed to put down formal roots. Today, you can find our Fresh Baked Scone Cottage at 1390 Atlantic Hwy in Northport. We hope that you will stop in and say hi. Sit for awhile under our pergola and grab a mix when you leave in order to "Bake Memories" at home.
